Assessments
Services begin with a diagnostic assessment. Information will be gathered to complete the assessment and make the necessary treatment recommendations based on individual needs.
Treatment Planning
Treatment recommendations are made based on the assessment. A treatment plan is then developed thoughtfully with the input of the individual. The clinician and the individual will work together to establish measurable and attainable goals with identified outcomes.

Our group day treatment program meets
two, three or five days a week for two and a half hours a day. The treatment programs are different by site.
Youth under age 18 may participate. We will help them:

Equine Assisted Learning Activities
Did you know that a horse can hear your heartbeat four feet away? Horses immediately pick up on your fears, moods and stress levels.
Safe Haven Behavioral Health Services uses equine assisted learning activities* to teach trust, mindfulness, awareness of self and others, as well as responsibility, healthy boundaries/relationships, understanding emotions and problem-solving skills.

Description of Services
Diagnostic Assessment (children and adults) - Complete Mental Health and Substance Use assessment that include the consideration of all treatment options that are appropriate for individual needs.
Individual Therapy - Address social, emotional, behavioral and/or substance use treatment needs.
Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment - linking, advocacy, coordination of care, ongoing monitoring of symptoms and skill building.
Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) - Individualized support in coordination of care, restoration of social skills and daily functioning, crisis prevention, linking, referral and advocacy.
Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) - rehabilitation and support of daily functioning to improve self-management of the negative effects of psychiatric or emotional symptoms that interfere with a person’s daily functioning.
School Based Programming - Collaboration with the schools providing on-site services; group and individual sessions.
Substance Use Outpatient Programming - Based on assessed needs providing group and individual sessions.
Community Based Services - Engaging clients and families in their preferred setting; providing services on-site, in the community or in their home.
Safe Haven provides
mental health services on site or through telehealth appointments.
We also offer services in the community such as schools, childcare centers and other locations.
